Tirupur: Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi leader Easwaran in Tirupur said that it is a fact that Sasikala's release and comeback to AIADMK will cause a stir. A general medical camp and a blood camp were held on behalf of the Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi in Tirupur on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of Kovai Chezhiyan.
Easwaran, the leader of the Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi, who arrived to inaugurate it, met reporters and said that the Chief Minister's urgent decision to give the name of the Vellalar community to another section of community has created a situation of instigating caste riots in Tamil Nadu.
He said, "The AIADMK government is trying to stop the opposition from meeting the people in the villages. AIADMK should drop this act. Though they announced giving away of Rs. 2500 to the public on the occasion of Pongal with election in mind, it will not help them in gaining votes. The AIADMK has said that it will make alliance with the party who accepts the AIADMK candidate for Chief Minister post. Since BJP has not accepted this, it is saddening that the AIADMK is in a position of not being able to declare their alliances for the election".
He also said that it was only a matter of fact that the release of Sasikala would cause a stir in the AIADMK. The event was attended by a large number of people who donated blood to the government hospital and a general medical camp was held.
