Tirupur: CPI(M) holds protest in Tirupur demanding resignation of Vice Chancellor of Anna University
Tirupur: A protest was held in Tirupur on behalf of the Marxist Communist Party demanding the resignation of Vice Chancellor of Anna University Surappa.

All opposition parties in Tamil Nadu are protesting against Surappa, who had said he would split Anna University into two and upgrade it.
In this context, a protest was held on behalf of the Marxist Communist Party in front of the Tirupur Corporation demanding the abandonment of the right to education of poor students in the name of special status and the resignation of Surappa. They also demanded that TN governor should approve the law for 7.5% reservation for TN government school students in medical seats.
