This being the case, unidentified men have thrown a huge stone in the head of a person who was lying on the side of Nanjappa road in Gandhipuram last night. Kattoor Police arrived at the scene after they received information that the person was in critical condition with a lot of blood loss after being hit in the head.
They sent the man to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Investigation has revealed that Balakrishnan, a resident of Dindigul district, was involved in an argument between two drunken persons who hit him with a stone on his head.
Meanwhile, Balakrishnan succumbed to his injuries. Kattoor police have registered a case in this regard and are searching for those involved in the murder. It is alleged that a man has been arrested in this connection and an investigation is underway.
