Coimbatore: A 9-week training held for those promoted as Sub-Inspectors was held at Kongu Engineering College, Erode district.
A total of 52 people including 20 from Coimbatore City, 8 from Coimbatore District, 18 from Erode, 5 from Tirupur and 1 from Tirupur participated.
At the end of the training, Sadayappan, a sub-inspector from Coimbatore district who won the first place in the parade examination, second place in the law examination and the third place in the sniper examination, was named the "Best Cadet".
Sub-inspector Sivasamy from Coimbatore district secured 2nd place in the parade. Similarly, Parthiban from Coimbatore district has secured the third position in the law examination.
At the closing ceremony of the training held on 18.10.2020, Coimbatore West Zone IG Periyayya, Coimbatore DIG Narendran Nair, and Erode SP Thangathurai participated in the valedictory function event and gave away prizes and certificates.
