Siruvani drinking water is one of the most important sources of drinking water for Coimbatore Corporation. Drinking water is supplied to the residences located in the west, south and central zones of the Coimbatore Corporation from Siruvani and Aliyar.
The Commissioner visited the Drinking Water Treatment Plant located at the foothills of Siruvani and inspected the capacity of the water coming from the Siruvani Dam and the methods of purification. Corporation Executive Engineer Gnanavelu,, TWAD Board Engineer (Siruvani Maintenance) K. Chellamuthu, Assistant Executive Engineer K. Pattan, Assistant Engineer Thambiraj and Inspector Devanathan were present during the inspection.
