As part of this, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian met and interacted with the medical staff at Ward No.56, Kalloori Nagar, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, who went door to door with a thermometer to diagnose body temperature and diagnose people with symptoms such as cold, flu, cough and shortness of breath. He told the public that those with symptoms such as colds, flu, coughs and shortness of breath. He insisted that while taking the tests, they should always wear face masks and adhere to social distancing.

Following this, he met the sanitary workers at Singanallur, Uppilipalayam area who were collecting compostable and non-compostable garbage and asked them to collect the waste with care. He also directed them to spray insecticides to avoid mosquitoes and ensure there is no stagnation of water.

Then, he inspected the Primary Health Centre in Uppilipalayam Ward No.64. He met with the nurses and enquired whether they are in need of any basic amenities. He directed the concerned health workers to keep the PHC clean.

East Zone Assistant Commissioner M. Murugan, Chief Engineer Gnanavelu, Assistant Executive Engineer Prabhakaran, Regional Health Officer Chandran and Health Inspectors Rajendran and Dhanapal were present during the inspection.
