In Tirupur, for the third joint drinking water project, work is underway to lay drinking water pipes from Mettupalayam to parts of Tirupur Corporation via Mangalam, in Avinashi. Drinking water pipes were laid for the joint drinking water project from Mangalam Road, Periyandipalayam to Kulathuputhur under Tirupur Corporation.
But the roads were not repaired properly leading to a lot of potholes. The Marxist Communist Party todaystaged a protest in the Mangalam Road, Kulathupudur area, urging the corporation administration to immediately repair the roads dug to install drinking water pipes.
