Tirupur: Public from Dharapuram petitioned the Tirupur Collector's Office to stop the encroachments at a Government High School near Dharapuram.

More than 100 students from class 6 to 10 are studying in the Government High School functioning in Kumarapalayam panchayat in Dharapuram taluk of Tirupur district. The students of this school utilize the space nearby to study and play in the evenings.
It is said that a person by the name of Muthusamy is trying to encroach the land near the school by trying to obtain patta for it with the help of Revenue Department officials.
Under the circumstances, the public petitioned the Tirupur district collector to stop the encroachment because if the grounds ends up in the hands of some private party, the school would not have the space needed to build a laboratory or library in the future.
