Coimbatore Mettupalayam Nellithurai VAO Vijayakumar was informed that the body of a 60-year-old man was lying under the Bhavani river bridge near the Vanabathrakaliamman temple. Following this, Vijayakumar arrived at the scene and informed the police. Police recovered the body of the old man and sent it to Mettupalayam GH for an autopsy.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway to identify the man and find whether he committed suicide or drowned by mistake.
