With 1,212 cases, Chennai continued to top the table followed by Coimbatore which recorded 393 fresh positives.
Salem ranked third with 304 cases followed by Chengalpattu (245), Thiruvallur (229) and Tirupur (185).
While Tirupur logged 185 cases, The Nilgiris posted 144.
