Coimbatore: Coimbatore Police's new initiative of visiting complainants' homes to investigate cases garners appreciation
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Police's new initiative of visiting complainants' homes to investigate cases has garnered appreciation. There have been several complaints for a long time that the public going to police stations for registering complaints are not getting proper responses and that the complaints are not duly investigated. Under the circumstances, Coimbatore police's new scheme where cops visit the homes of the complainants to investigate cases has been welcomed by all.

Accordingly, the RS Puram Women’s Police, who went to investigate a complaint yesterday, put both parties together and resolved the issue, which has received everyone’s appreciation. The wife of a 33-year-oldlabourer from Kembatty colony in Ukkadam complained about her husband's extramarital relationship as a result of which he has not been taking care of his family.
Inspector Prabhavathi from Coimbatore RS Puram All Women Police Station went in person and held talks with the husband and wife. Inspector Prabhavati advised him that if he engages in inappropriate activities, there will be nobody to take care of his family and whether it is okay for his children to starve. Hearing this, the labourer came to his senses and promised that he would no longer stray. He vouched to take care of his family.
The woman's family was overjoyed and heartily praised Inspector Prabhavati and the Coimbatore City Police for their efforts. The public have been highly appreciating the police department for this new scheme.
