Karthik (26) is a construction worker from Kanuvai Teachers' Colony, Coimbatore. He had been living with his sister-in-law Priya after his brother's separation from her. Karthik and Priya used to quarrel frequently due to his drinking habit.
In this case, he came home drunk the night before yesterday. His sister-in-law Priya accused him of using rent money for drinks and said she was going to leave for her mother's home. Karthik, who was threatening to kill himself if Priya leaves, doused his body with kerosene and set himself on fire. took some kerosene that was in the house, doused his body with kerosene and set it on fire.
