He later told reporters that the meeting was a great success and that the "Vetrivel Veeravel" pilgrimage of state president L Murugan, which is scheduled to begin in November was discussed in the meeting and an action plan was drawn.
He said that over the past few months, the BJP has gained more support from youngsters than any other party, especially in the Tirupur area where tens of thousands of youth have joined the BJP. He added, "Only in states ruled by the Congress party, protests are provoked against the Agricultural Law Amendment Bill. He said, through the Agriculture Amendment Bill, the BJP government has in fact fulfilled the promise made by the DMK in its 2014 election manifesto."
He further said, "In the past, those who came out of the AIADMK joined the DMK and those who came out of the DMK joined the AIADMK, but for the last few years all the people leaving any party like DMK and AIADMK are now coming towards the BJP." He said BJP would meet this election outlining its activities and plans.
