Coimbatore: Coimbatore Auto Drivers' Association executive committee meeting held at Valparai
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Auto Drivers' Association executive committee meeting was held at Valparai Thiyagigal Ninaivagam, near Gandhi statue. The meeting was chaired by P. Paramasivam.
The following resolutions were passed during the meeting:
1. Auto drivers did not get any relief amount except groceries during coronavirus lockdown. Hence a camp to provide membership cards for auto drivers under unorganised sector should be implemented and relief amount must be distributed.
2. Municipality should spray disinfectants in their autos and auto stands as passengers use the autos frequently.
3. Due to lack of reduced transport facilities, people in Manampalli are suffering without essential needs. Hence auto services must be allowed from 7 am to 5 pm everyday.
4. Permission to allow auto services to areas under Woodbriar Estate including Stanmore, Savangadu, Nallakathu, Injiparai and to areas under Parry Agro estates with all COVID regulations in place.
Association President Charles, Vice President Navaneetha Krishnan, Secretary Moideen, and Treasurer Enault were present during the meeting.
