The Nilgiris: Coonoor-Ooty train service is all set to resume tomorrow. Guidelines have been issued for passengers. The Nilgiris Mountain Train has been non-operational since March 18 due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
The District Collector has given a go-ahead to resume trains on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway between Coonoor and Ooty from tomorrow, October 10, as tourists are now allowed to visit Ooty.
Following this, Southern Railway will run 2 pairs of special trains.
Special Train 1:
Coonoor 7:45
Ooty 9:05
Special Train 2:
Ooty 9:15
Coonoor 10:25
Special Train 3:
Coonoor 12:35
Ooty 13:50
Special Train 4:
Ooty 14:00

Guidelines for passengers:
* Reservations are required to travel by special train.
* Temperature of the passengers must be checked with a thermometer when arriving at the station.
* Passengers must arrive at the station 90 minutes in advance.
* Only passengers without signs of coronavirus infection will be allowed to travel.
* Passengers must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing.
* Passengers need to have the Arogya Setu App on their mobile phones.
