Thilagavathy (25) is from the Neelikonampalayam area of Coimbatore. She is said to be addicted to alcohol. Her husband Vignesh (24) has repeatedly told her not to drink and this has led to frequent disputes between the husband and wife. Thilagavati is said to have been warned by her family and Vignesh's family.
Following this, Thilagavati committed suicide by hanging herself in a public toilet in the Neelikkonampalayam area market ground the day before yesterday. Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint lodged by Vignesh.
In the second case, Sarojini (72) NK Palayam Chinnathottam area of Singanallur, Coimbatore who lost her husband Velliangiri 18 days ago committed suicide by hanging herself at home the night before. Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint lodged by Sarojini's son Vijayakumar.
In the third case Sureshkumar (39)from Singanallur area of Coimbatore killed himself. He is said to be a heavy drinker which led to frequent quarrels between him and his wife Pradeepa. When Suresh Kumar drunk yesterday, there was a heated argument again between the two following which Suresh Kumar has committed suicide at home. The Singanallur police have registered a case and are investigating the complaint lodged by Pradeepa.
