Coimbatore: BJP State Vice President Vanathi Srinivasan commented that it is common to change alliances during elections.

The prize distribution ceremony for the children who participated in the 'Vel' Painting Competition organized by the BJP in Coimbatore was held at the Makkal Sevai Maiam on Gandhipuram100 ft Road. After this, the party's vice president Vanathi Sinivasan in an interview to the media said that the BJP has had alliances with the DMK and AIADMK and it is a common practice that alliances change during elections.
She said the NDA is strong in Tamil Nadu under the AIADMK leadership and it is not time yet to declare who they will form alliance with during the upcoming elections and that was exactly what Pon.Radhakrishnan meant in his recent comment about TN chief ministerial candidature. She said the coalition in the parliamentary elections is continuing till now and there is no difference of opinion in the alliance and added thatonly time will decide if there are changes.
She clarified that Pon.Radhakrishnan had just said that those who start new parties can join hands withBJP and he did not mean to create a political stir. She added that there is no hesitation in accepting Edappadi Palanisamy as the AIADMK chief ministerial candidate and at the same time she said that their national leadership should tell whether he has been accepted as the head of NDA in Tamil Nadu.
She said, "The AIADMK has announced that Edappadi Palaniswami will be its chief ministerial candidate. That is the decision of that party. The leaders of our national party will meet and decide on this at the time of the election and even a BJP-led alliance might be formed".
