In the absence of the estate manager, the officials stuck a notice to this effect on the compound wall.
Kodanad Estate and Siruthavur Bungalow are some of the properties which have been frozen under the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act. In this situation, the Income Tax officials came to the Kotagiri Tahsildar's office and took Revenue Inspector Latha and VAO Sathya to Kodanad.
They waited for the estate manager at the Kodanad Estate Home Gate for a while. Due to the absence of the manager, they stuck a notice on the wall of the estate and obtained the signatures from the Revenue Department officials and left.
