Coimbatore: A review meeting was held today chaired by Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian, IOP at the South Zone Office, on drinking water supply and sewerage projects.
Coimbatore: A review meeting was held today chaired by Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian, IOP at the South Zone Office, on drinking water supply and sewerage projects.
During the meeting, the Corporation Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to complete the ongoing sewerage projects in the Corporation and the drinking water line connection work in the Corporation areas in a speedy manner.
In addition, the Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to carry out the work of providing regular drinking water supply to the public and to clean the roads immediately without any hindrance to traffic and to carry out the cleaning work without any delay by the health workers.
Following this, he inspected the progress of repair of faulty drinking water pipes and road work in the areas dug for the construction of underground sewerage in South Zone Ward No.99 Manikandan Nagar, Kamaraj Nagar, MGR Nagar, Kovaipudur 4th Block and Ward No. 90 Siruvani Nagar. He instructed the TWAD officials to complete the work expeditiously.
In addition, the Commissioner inspected the construction work of tar Road in the South Zone of the Corporation of Coimbatore.
City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, South Zone Assistant Commissioner DR Ravi, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, TWAD Board Supervising Engineer Raghupathi, TWAD Board Executive Engineer Lakshmanan, TWAD Board Advisor S. Sampath, and TWAD board officials and Executive Engineers were present.
