Coimbatore: Coimbatore people welcome initiative by police to investigate complaints on same day.
Coimbatore: In a major move, the District Police has implemented the process of investigating complaints and seeking redressal, on the same day. Under this process, the police will visit the complainant's home on the same day and commence investigation.
In a press release issued by the District Police, Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Rajesh Das has passed orders to implement steps to avoid delays in addressing complaints at police stations. The concerned police stations are advised to meet the complainant on the same day and resolve the issue.
Accordingly, under the supervision ofCoimbatore District Superintendent, Arul Arasu, 18 petitions received at various police stations on October 6 were processed the same day and resolved.
Further, it has been informed that 122 petitions received from Oct 3 to 6 have been resolved in a similar way by visiting the complainant's home and holding investigation with both the parties.
