Edayarpalayam area on Coimbatore Thadagam Road has many streets like Poompuhar Nagar, Marudhanagar, and Srinivasan Nagar. For the past few days, the people of the area, who knew that a mysterious person was roaming in the area, have been engaged in intensive surveillance.
Meanwhile, in the middle of the night yesterday, a man climbed the compound wall of a house and jumped in, Subsequently, the occupants of the house informed this to their neighbours by cell phone.
Residents of a nearby house switched their lights on following which the man fled in a two-wheeler.
Following this, when the footage recorded on the CCTV cameras fitted there were scrutinised, it came to light that the man had peeped into 10 bedroom windows in two hours.
The shocked people lodged a complaint at Thudiyalur police station. Police are scrutinising the CCTV footage now.
When a similar incident happened a year ago, police surmised the person may have been a mentally deranged one. People in the area are panicked by similar incidents happening again.
