Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian inspected spraying of disinfectants and cleaning in the isolated area of the 1st Ward, Idikarai Road, TNP Nagar in Coimbatore Corporation North Zone.
He then told the cleaning staff on duty in the isolated areas that disinfectants should be sprayed twice a day and then told the relevant officials to make arrangements for the availability of essential items needed by those in the area. He said those who are isolated should not leave the house until the end of the isolation period, the houses should be disinfected twice a day, social distancing should be maintained, masks should be worn, everyone in the house should undergo coronavirus tests and should take medicines that boost immunity.

Following this, the Commissioner visited the medical camp at Thudiyalur, Muthunagar, in the 1st Ward, North Zone, where the public was being examined for coronavirus. He checked whether the staff testing for cold, flu, and cough were accurately recording the details in the records. He visited the 2nd Ward, Viswanathapuram, Thudiyalur, to inspect the composting and segregation of garbage. He enquired about the details of composting and segregation of garbage when collecting waste from the cleaning staff. Later, he told employees to wear gloves and face masks. He enquired whether drinking water was being made available to the public in the area.

He also inspected the construction work of a new drinking water tank with a capacity of 2.50 lakh liters in Ward 1 of Cheran Colony.

Later, he visited and inspected the micro composting center at Ramasamy Nagar, Ward No. 44, Kavundampalayam.
Earlier, the Commissionervisited the new building set up for the production of compostable manureat the Thudiyalur market area and directed the concerned officials to carry out all the work for the preparation of micro compost at the center.
Zonal Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumar Rathinam (North), Zonal Health Officer Ramachandran, Assistant Engineers and Corporation Officials were present during the inspection.
