According to Superintendent Manivasakam, farmers in the Anaimalai area brought 550 bundles for sale. They were graded and auctioned by the authorities in the presence of traders.

295 bundles of first grade copra were sold at a minimum price of Rs.10,600 per quintal and a maximum of Rs. 11,660. 2nd grade copra in 255 bundles were sold for a maximum of Rs. 9,060 and a minimum of Rs. 7,880.
11 traders and 93 farmers participated in the auction. Farmers had delivered 98 bundles more than last week and a total of 264 quintals was auctioned for Rs 23 lakh. This week the quintal price went up by Rs. 25.
