Coimbatore: Six more private hospitals in Coimbatore have been permitted to treat COVID-19 patients.
In Coimbatore district, 26 private hospitals have been allowed to treat corona infections. Under the circumstances, six more private hospitals have been permitted to provide corona treatment. Up to 50 percent of people from other districts are receiving COVID-19 treatment in private hospitals in Coimbatore.
The following hospitals have been sanctioned in Coimbatore to enhance the treatment facilities as infections are on the rise.
1. Saibaba Colony, KTVR Hospital
2. Kuniyamuthur K.J. Hospital
3. Thudiyalur, Uma Nursing Home
4. Annur N.M. Hospital
5. Chinniyampalayam Venkateswara Hospital
6. Ramanathapuram, Leo Ortho Care Hospital
A total of 226 beds facilities have been set up in these hospitals.
Krishna, co-director of the health department, said, "Six more private hospitals in Coimbatore have been permitted to treat coronavirus. In Coimbatore district, there are currently 1,305 beds in government hospitals, 2,362 beds in private hospitals and 1,539 beds in coronavirus treatment centers with 5,206 beds in use. "
He added that, "In addition, 1,519 beds in government hospitals, 2,362 beds in private hospitals and 5,586 beds in corona treatment centers and in total 9,467 beds are on standby as a precautionary measure."
