Coimbatore: The Pollachi Sub-Collector announced that two teams have been set up on behalf of the Pollachi Health Department to conduct coronavirus testing in private hospitals.
A review meeting on coronavirus prevention measures was held at the Pollachi Sub-Collector Office. Municipal Commissioner Gandhiraj, Tahsildars Thanigaivel, Venkatachalam, Sridevi and Municipal Officer Manikavel Rajan, doctors from Government Hospital and Primary Health Centres were present in the meeting.

Sub-Collector Vaithiyanathan said that Coronavirus infection is under control in the Pollachi area. Now the focus is on intensifying serious action for taking the positive people immediately to hospitals.
He added, "Appropriate action will be taken to address the confusion that arises because the same person gets tested in private and government hospitals. To avoid this, those who come to the private hospital for examination are scheduled to be examined by the municipal health department in a selected location. When they are sent to the selected location, confusion and delay in test results would be resolved."
