The number of cases of coronavirus infection is increasing day by day in Coimbatore district. Hand washing is an essential requirement to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Although it is best to wash your hands with soap, we cannot use it everywhere. It is very easy to clean your hands with disinfectant and it is also portable, but staying the disinfectant with hands or feet could cause cross contamination.
In this case, a 9th grade student of Sri Chaitanya Techno School in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore, V. Makizhan, has developed an automatic germicide dispenser powered by a sensor at a low price of Rs.400. The dispenser has a 5 litre recyclable plastic can which makes it extra special. This dispenser sprayer which has been in use for the last two months is very useful for ESI Hospital. It can also be used in overcrowded places to avoid infection.
Nirmala, Dean of ESI Hospital, and Ravikumar, Medical Superintendent praised Makizhan.
