Coimbatore: Members of Campus Front protest in Coimbatore condemning the arrest of their National Treasurer who tried visiting UP rape and murder victim's family
Coimbatore: A protest was held condemning the arrest of a Campus Front national treasurer who went to offer condolences at the home of the girl who was brutally raped and murdered in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.
The woman's body was cremated without even being handed over to relatives. Various parties have been staging protests condemning the incident, the police for not arresting the culprits and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Police arrested Atikur Rahman, the national treasurer of the Campus Front organization, and the organization's executives who went to the victim's house yesterday to offer condolences.

Following thisw, members of Campus Front in Coimbatore staged a protest in front of the BSNL office near the Coimbatore District Collector's Office.

They then chanted slogans condemning the central government, UP chief minister and the police. They also demanded the immediate release of treasurer Atikur Rahman and executives.
