Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner conducts review meeting on developmental work under Smart City project
Coimbatore: Review meeting on developmental work under Smart City project was held headed by Corporation Commissioner.
During the meeting, he discussed the work under the Smart City project in Coimbatore that are being carried out, including rehabilitation of ponds, construction of parks, construction of roads, and construction of bridges and sewage canals. Various ponds in Coimbatore including Ukkadam, Periyakulam, Valankulam and Muthannankulam are undergoing value addition with construction of amusement parks, children's parks, playgrounds with street lights and walking pathways
The Corporation Commissioner enquired about the work being carried out at Kurichi Kulam, Ukkadam Periyakulam, Valankulam, Selvachinthamani Kulam, Krishnampathy Kulam, Selvampathy, Kumaraswamy Kulam and Singanallur Lake and on the uniform distribution of drinking water in the Corporation of Coimbatore. He also reviewed methods of waste disposal. He also enquired about the projects that are ongoing and the projects that have been completed.
Deputy Commissioner S. Madhuranthagi, City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Project Engineer Gnanavelu, Zonal Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and many officials were present during the meeting.
