Akash (20) is the son of Ponnusamy from Vaiyampatti area of Trichy. He is working in a bakery in Coimbatore.
Akash who boarded a private bus to go to Thondamuthur from Gandhipuram this morning was standing on the steps and was seriously injured when he fell off the bus near Variety Hall Road. The public saw him fall off the bus and rushed him to the government hospital for treatment.
At the time, doctors who examined him there said he was already dead. The West Traffic Police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation. The body of the deceased Akash is being kept for autopsy.
The incident in which a young man was killed while traveling in defiance of the warning not to stand on the steps caused shock among the passengers.
