Manikandan (49) hails from Rajaraman Road in Pollachi. He along with his family had left to his native place on Saturday.
When he returned home yesterday, he was shocked to find the front door of his house broken. Subsequently, a search of the house revealed that Rs 9,000 in cash and 2.5 sovereign of gold jewelery had been looted from the house..
Following this, Manikandan lodged a complaint with the Pollachi East Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case. With the help of forsenic staff, fingerprints and other evidences were collected from the crime spot.
