Flash Floods in Monkey Falls: Waters recedes; public entry restricted

Pollachi: Until last week, water flow at Monkey falls near Aliyar dam breached the gates, due to incessant rainfall in Valparai.

Pollachi: Until last week, water flow at Monkey falls near Aliyar dam breached the gates, due to incessant rainfall in Valparai. 



As the southwest monsoon has come to an end, water inflow has receded and the monkey falls is receiving moderate water flow, said officials. 

However, bringing much disappointment to the public, the officials have informed that restriction of public movement will continue, until further notice. 

The Monkey falls located on the foothills of Valparai is most sought tourist spot for the locals and people from neighbouring districts.
