Radhika, the district secretary of the All India Democratic Women's Association told reporters following the protest that the brutal attack on a Dalit woman currently in Uttar Pradesh is similar to the Nirbhaya incident. She said Uttar Pradesh is a BJP-ruled state where there is no protection for women and it is highly condemnable that the DGP of the state of Uttar Pradesh has said that the woman was not raped.
She added that, "With the current BJP government in India there is no protection for Muslim and Dalit women. The Prime Minister should intervene in this matter and bring justice to the victim. It is a shame that the National Commission for Women has no say in this matter. They should immediately intervene and bring justice to the woman killed."
