Coimbatore: Minister SP Velumani inaugurated developmental projects worth ₹3.71 crores in Coimbatore South zone
An additional building constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 14.50 lakhs at the City welfare Center in the Government Employees' Colony area was opened for public use.
He gave away two wheelers through the Amma scheme at a subsidized price of Rs. 25,000 to working women. A park at an estimated cost of Rs.64.00 lakhs will be built from public funds in Coimbatore South Zone Ward No.87-Vasantham Nagar Area. Under the TURIF Phase 1, Corporation will set up tar road at Ward No.88 Ganga Nagar Area. Minister then inaugurated the construction of a tar road at a budget of Rs. 51.92 lakhs at the Government Employees' Colony.
Indoor stadium at a budget of 66 lakhs in Ward 87 Government Employees' Colony, tar road at a budget of 28 lakhs in Ward 93 Poonthottam, Lakshmi Nagar, and at a budget of 70.5 lakhs in Annai nagar, EB Colony, Balu Avenue, Phase 2 and Park town areas were also inaugurated. He also distributed COVID preventive tablets.
Corporation Commissioner and Special officer P. Kumaravel Pandian, Deputy Corporation Commissioner, S. Madhuranthagi, City Engineer, A. Lakshmanan, Assistant Commissioner, South Zone, T. R. Ravi, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Project Director Mr. K. Selvaraju, Project Engineer Gnanavelu, Assistant Engineers, Zonal Health Officers and the public were present.
