Coimbatore: Another elderly person has been brutally murdered in Coimbatore. A 65-year-old elderly woman from Kempatty colony area was stabbed to death by a gang of robbers two days ago in Coimbatore.
Krishnasamy (83) lives near Perks School, Trichy Road, Coimbatore. He has a son and a daughter. Krishnasamy is living alone after the death of his wife and son Parthasarathy. His daughter lives in Canada. He has rented out buildings in his own land near the house where he lives. He had a helper at home since he was living alone. She had not been coming due to COVID-19.
As Krishnasamy did not leave his house for a long time this morning, the people living nearby informed the Singanallur police. Police arrived at the scene and found Krishnasamy stabbed to death in various parts of his body and lying dead in a chair covered in blood. It was also revealed that there were blood stains in the adjoining rooms. Following this, a search of the bedroom revealed that the wardrobe was broken into.

Following this, a sniffer dog was brought and forensic experts also arrived at the scene and recorded the fingerprints that were present on the door and wardrobe. Deputy Commissioner of Coimbatore (Crime) Uma arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation.
Preliminary investigations are underway and it is surmised people who knew Krishnamurthy was staying alone may have committed the murder and robbed money and jewelery. Further, no information was available about the culprits as there were no CCTV cameras in the area where Krishnasamy's house is located. Police are searching for the culprits with the registration number of Krishnasamy's expensive car which was parked in front of the house and stolen too.
It is to be noted that two days ago an elderly woman, who was alone at home in Coimbatore, was stabbed to death in the neck for money and cash.
