According to a Corporation official, the said hotel had been defaulting rent for over months. Several reminders seeking payment of rent were issued, but the owners did not settle the arrears.
All this while the rental dues were deducted from the deposit amount, now as the deposit money has exhausted, the shop has been sealed, the official told.
