The Annual General Meeting of TiE Coimbatore was held as an hybrid event with a few members meeting physically and other joining virtually, today.
The incoming President, Ranjana Singhal, Managing Partner, That’s Y Food, On the Go and Managing Director, Café Totaram Pvt Ltd, took over as the 10th President of the organisation. She takes the mantle of leadership from Hemalatha Annamalai, Entrepreneur and Founder, Ampere Vehicles.
Ms Singhal laid out her detailed calendar for the next two years to promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs in the eco-system.
Being an entrepreneur from outside Coimbatore, who made the city her home, Ms. Singhal brings multi-dimensional perspectives which will add tremendous value to the organisation and the eco-system, the release said.
One of Coimbatore’s iconic Entrepreneurs “The Padman”, Arunachalam Muruganantham was elected as the Vice President of TiE Coimbatore for 2020-2022.
The new team of office bearers includes Somasundara Arumugam of Essilor as the 2nd Vice President, S Shanmugam, Chairman of United Educational Institutions who took over as the new Secretary, Devika Ramesh, MD of Arempee Compressors took over as the new Treasurer and NRR Vijayakumar of Founder Passion as joint secretary.
The meeting also acknowledged the tremendous work done in the last two years by Ms Hemalatha Annamalai and team. As the year marks the 10th Year of TiE Coimbatore, a montage of the journey over the last few years was played at the meet.
Some of the highlights of the next two years are – Jumpstart 2022 – A conclave for young entrepreneurs, TiECon 2021, Women’s Conclave 2021 and Hackathon 2022. Past Presidents include Mr K. Ilango, Ms Anusha R, Dr A. Selvakumar and Mr G. Karthikeyan.
