Tirupur: Tirupur District Congress Party protested on Gandhi Jayanthi. Mahatma Gandhi's 152nd birthday is being celebrated across the country.
As part of this, the Tirupur District Congress party, paid tribute to the Gandhi statue near Tirupur Corporation by garlanding his statue.
They chanted slogans and carried banners that read "Gandhiji! Conduct a quit India movement for the looters today like the one you conducted for the Brits." They also protested the arrests of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh.
