Coimbatore: Cow falls into well in Pollachi: Rescued alive
Coimbatore: A cow that fell into a well was rescued alive in Pollachi. A 4-year-old cow, which was bred in the farm owned by Kathirvel who is a resident of Vellalakavundanpudur near Mannur next to Pollachi fell into a 60-foot well while grazing in the farm yesterday.

There was about 25 feet of water in the well. The people nearby informed the Pollachi Fire Station hearing the sound of the cow fighting for its life in the water, but it did not sustain any injuries.
A team led by Station Officer Purushothaman tied a rope and rescued the cow. The fire department advised the farm owner to set up a wire fence around the well.
