A boy and a teenager were seen pushing a two-wheeler away from a government hospital while Police were patrolling the area last night as intensive patrols are being carried out following a series of thefts.
When police, who were suspicious of them, called them in for questioning, the two fled the scene. Following this, the police caught them and conducted an investigation. It was revealed that one of them was Gugan (22) from the Papanaickenpalayam area.
He was also involved in the theft of a two-wheeler parked in the LIC area earlier. Subsequently, the police who registered a case took him into custody.
The boy with Gugan was sent to Juvenile Detention Centre. Also, police confiscated two stolen bikes from both of them.
