Coimbatore: TCongress cadres stage a road roko in Coimbatore condemning the arrest of Rahul Gandhi
Coimbatore: Condemning the arrest of Rahul Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party staged a road roko in Coimbatore.
Former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Priyanka Gandhi were detained by police when they went to offer condolences to the home of a woman who was allegedly raped and killed in Uttar Pradesh's Hadras district.
Then, Rahul Gandhi fell down due to a commotion in the crowd.A road blockade was conducted in protest of this. Police arrested those involved in the road blockade.
Demonstrations took place in various places in India to condemn this.
As part of this, the Coimbatore District Congressmen staged a road blockade in front of the Coimbatore Railway Station.
They chanted slogans against Prime Minister Modi and the cenral government. Police negotiated with the protestors after which they dispersed. Due to this, traffic was affected for some time.
