Coimbatore: TASMAC Union Joint Committee has petitioned to the District Collector stating that action should not be taken on the letter received by intimidating TASMAC employees.

Coimbatore District TASMAC Union Joint Committee submitted a petition to the District Collector saying that on the 26th, the police inspected the liquor stores 1716 and 1597 and treated the employees like criminals without conducting any investigation. They urged not to take any action on a letter receiving by intimidating the employees.
They said they have been working for 17 years without a permanent job status. They are now risking their lives by working during the coronavirus pandemic. They said that he government's announcement that no more than five people should be allowed is be ignored in the adjoining bars and the district administration should put a stop to this.

Police received a letter by intimidating employees while they were working in an unsafe environment. They also said that these actions of the police to provide security are being implemented in the wrong way and that there is no connection between liquor stores that violate the government orders and the TASMAC employees. They also demanded that steps be taken to prevent such untoward incidents.
