Coimbatore Corporation is taking various preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections. In line with these, the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian inspected the isolated areas in Neelikonampalayam R.K.K Nagar. He then said that isolated areas should be sprayed regularly with disinfectants and that those who are isolated should not leave their houses until the end of the stipulated period. He also added that everyone must wear face masks and disinfect their homes in the mornings and evenings.

He also instructed the officials to make necessary arrangements for the availability of vegetables, milk and groceries to those in the isolated area. He enquired the public in the area if the health workers are checking for symptoms like fever, colds and coughs door to door. He also asked everyone to get tested at a special medical camp held in the area. He also enquired about the drinking water distribution in the area.



He ordered the health officials to spray mosquito repellent in the sewers to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.



He also inspected the food prepared at the Amma Restaurant at the Singanallur bus stand in the East Zone of the Coimbatore Corporation to see if hygiene standards are met. manner. Following this, he inspected the work carried out for coronavirus prevention activities in the COVID-19 Control Room in the East Zone and he inspected if the visitors' temperatures are monitored.



He inspected the records of the details including persons involved in the disinfection operations, the locations of the camps in the zone, coronavirus tests, persons having symptoms such as cold, flu, cough and suffocation, as well as the positive cases. East Zone Assistant Commissioner M. Murugan, Zonal Health Officer Chandran and Corporation Officers were present during the inspection.
