Tirupur: A woman tried self-immolation in Tirupur District Collectorate road.

Lakshmi from Perumanallur in Tirupur district who runs a hosiery-based company that deals with sub-orders had mortgaged her 760 sq ft land to Muthusamy in 2015 and borrowed a loan of Rs. 3,20,000.
She paid the first installment of the loan, but was not able to pay the next three during the lockdown period. She accused that the lender along with goondas was forcing her to sell the land to someone else.
