Tirupur: Amid a tussle and cold war that is going on in AIADMK for party leadership, Palladam MLA Karaipudur Natarajan has endorsed Edappadi Palanisamy as the CM candidate.
He said Palanisamy's regime should continue. After the demise of former CM Jayalalithaa the AIADMK had split in support of O. Paneerselvam and Edappadi Palanisamy. Though they patched up later, the ongoing cold war between the two factions was evident in the executive meeting held yesterday. There are speculations that the tussle for who would be the next CM candidate has already begun in the party.
Palladam MLA Karaiputhur Natarajan, who inaugurated various welfare schemes at Sultanpet, Mudalipalayam and Andipalayam located in his constituency on Tuesday to the tune of 1 crore 37 lakhs said the current government is functioning exceptionally well.
He also said, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy should be their Chief Ministerial candidate in the next term too. When asked about Sasikala he said they will abide by the decision of the party leader. The MLA's open statement has made the split in the AIADMK more obvious.
