Coimbatore: As Grama Sabha meeting is scheduled to be held at all Village Panchayats on October 2, on the occassion of Gandhi Jayanthi, the District Collector has requested elderly people, children and those with fever to refrain from attending the meet.

In a statement, District Collector K Rajamani on Wednesday apprised on the protocols to be followed for the upcoming Grama Sabha meeting to be held in the district at 11 am on October 2. The Collector stressed that Covid protocols including social distancing must be maintained at all meeting venues which shall be held in open air spaces.
The Collector also insisted on raising awareness on the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic and engaging in preventive measures during the meet.
