Coimbatore: Coimbatore SDPI protested condemning the Babri Masjid demolition case verdict.

A special CBI court in Lucknow has released 17 people, including senior BJP leader Advani, in connection with the Babri Masjid demolition case.

More than a hundred people, including women and children, rallied on behalf of the SDPI in the Athupalam area of Coimbatore to condemn the verdict.

They chanted slogans demanding the arrest of Advani, who was then convicted in the Supreme Court, and that injustice had been done to Muslims who had hoped for justice. Meanwhile, SDPI state treasurer Abu Tahir told reporters that the Supreme Court's ruling on who owns the Babri Masjid was a blow to Muslims.

They said the verdict diverted the attention from the turmoil in the country regarding the agricultural laws. They accused that the Lucknow Special CBI Court has pierced the hearts of Muslims just like the Supreme Court who ruled against the Muslims in case of Babri Masjid site.

He said that the courts are operating on the basis of an indifferent ideology and that India is on the road to one more freedom struggle. He pointed out that SDPI members across the country are engaged in protests demanding the arrest and imprisonment of the culprits.
