Theft accused arrested escapes from Police custody in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: A 24-year-old man from GM Nagar here, who was arrested for committing a theft, escaped from the police custody on Tuesday while he was being brought to Coimbatore government hospital for examination. The police are on the lookout for the accused.
Jamesha (24) an auto driver hails from GM Nagar, Coimbatore. The police nabbed him recently for his involvement in a theft case at the Perumal temple in the Kanji Konampalayam area of Vellalore, last year.
While Jamesha was arrested yesterday and taken to government hospital for a medical examination, he escaped from police custody in the presence of Sub Inspector Velliraja, and the Head Constable who arrested him.
The police team, has alerted all the police stations, to nab Jamesha. The incident has caused a stir amid the police circles and public.
