Daniel (54) is from Pudukkottai district. He works as a cook, is married and has one son and two daughters. He has been staying in a house in Athipalayam and has been working in a mess in the area for the last one month. He brought an eight-year-old boy home on the 28th and took the boy upstairs and sexually harassed him.
A complaint was lodged at the Kovilpalayam police station as the boy reported the abuse to his mother. The police investigation revealed that the boy had been sexually harassed for a week. Following this, the police have registered a case against Daniel under the POCSO Act and are conducting an investigation. The incident where a minor boy was sexually harassed has shocked the people in the area.
