In an advisory issued through their Facebook page, the Coimbatore City Police has hinted on a ‘spate’ of frauds by people posing as ‘armymen’. Hence, people are advised to be aware of such frauds.
"If you buy and sell products via online classified portals, you need to be careful while dealing with people claiming as 'Army man'. Be cautious, with such fraud accounts before you send money. You might lose it. While buying/selling, through unverified people, exercise utmost caution", the advisory noted.
