Tirupur: The government should reconsider the opening of schools in Tamil Nadu, says Ponraj who was an advisor to the late former president Abdul Kalam.
Speaking to reporters after presenting shields and welfare assistance to those who rendered services during the coronavirus curfew by a private charity in Tirupur, he told reporters that opening the school in the current context would not be the right decision and that schools could be reopened after January.
Until then, the state government should recommend conducting classes through online and education channels and the Tamil Nadu government should reconsider its decision.
Responding to the opposition to the central government's farm bill, Ponraj said the farm bill would convert farmers into wage workers and this bill has critically missed out minimum support price for agricultural products.
